Berent and Justyne have officially graduated! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
OK, even more people joined! James Russo (Micro student) and Hidayet Putun (MCB student) have joined the lab after rotations. Super excited about their directions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Justyne Ogdahl has a first author publication about the role of oligomerization on Lon protease activity and defended her thesis! Congrats to Justyne!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining the lab in 2022 was Kubra Yigit (MCB), who now has a first author publication about the role of Lon in heme biosynthesis. Joining the lab in 2023 was Dylan Frank (MCB). Leaving the lab in 2023 was Tommy Tashjian, but luckily she’s only down the street as a faculty member at Amherst College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rilee Zeinert (MCB) graduated in Summer of 2020, now is a postdoc at NIH with Gigi Storz, rocking small proteins. (he still chimes in on lab slack though!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Berent Aldikacti (MCB) joined the lab in Spring of 2020. He’s working on a collaborative project with the Flaherty lab using transposon sequencing to understand protein homeostasis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nathan Kuhlmann (MCB) is graduating in June- off to a Biotech position in the Boston-area. Congrats Nate, we’ll miss you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are excited to welcome Busola Oreofe as a new UG joining our lab as part of the Lee-SIP summer program this summer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
