Patrick Treffon Receives American Institute of Chemists Award



The American Institute of Chemists (AIC) organizes this Student Awards program to honor outstanding seniors, post-baccalaureate, and post-doctoral students majoring in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry. Such awards are given in recognition of a demonstrated record of leadership ability, character, scholastic achievement, and advancement potential in the chemical professions. Candidates are chosen and nominated by their faculty members.
Patrick will be presented with this award at the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Awards Ceremony on May 2, 2019.

The Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Department has selected Patrick Treffon to receive the American Institute of Chemists award for Post-Doctoral Students in Biochemistry. This award is in recognition of Patrick’s demonstrated record of ability and professional promise. The award includes a one-year membership in AIC, access to the AIC website and a listing on the website as a 2019 awardee, networking opportunities and a one-year subscription to a peer-reviewed journal.
