Salma Akther

Mst Salma Akther got her master’s degree in early 2021 in plant Biotechnology from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, and a bachelor’s degree in Botany in 2019 from the same University. In her master’s thesis, she studied zinc deficiency tolerance mechanisms in different tomato cultivars. Then, she worked for one year as a Research Assistant at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Italy, particularly on a project to investigate the physiological and molecular mechanisms of zinc stress tolerance of European hemp cultivars and drought stress tolerance of Miscanthus genotypes. Her area of research focuses on, plant stress physiology and heavy metal toxicity tolerance.
