Vierling Lab Visits Sugar Shack to Taste Spring Phloem Sap!
The Vierling Lab took a Saturday off to taste the good offerings of the North Hadley Sugar Shack.
Sap is a fluid transported in xylem cells (vessel elements or tracheids) or phloem sieve tube elements of a plant. These cells transport water and nutrients throughout the plant.
